Situated along the banks of the Kikori River, the newly opened Kikori Heritage Hotel introduces Kikori to tourism, business and leisure travelers.

Officially opened by PM Hon. James Marape on Friday 11 September, the development by the Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) represents a significant investment in tourism infrastructure and positions Gulf Province as an emerging destination for travelers seeking authentic cultural experiences, untouched wilderness and distinctly Papua New Guinean hospitality.

The 60-room, full-service hotel is the first of four Heritage Hotels planned under MRDC's diversification strategy, with future developments earmarked for Kutubu in Southern Highlands, Kerema Town and Tari in the Hela Province.

The hotel is owned by MRDC and its subsidiaries Petroleum Resources Kutubu (PRK), Petroleum Resources Moran (PRM) Petroleum Resources Gobe (PRG), Gas Resources Pipeline, together with the Gulf Provincial Government.

Opening the facility, Prime Minister Marape described the hotel as an example of how strategic infrastructure investment can unlock economic opportunities in rural Papua New Guinea.

MRDC Appoints Howard Lole to GRGL Board

MRDC has appointed Mr. Howard Lole as Director-Elect representing the Tuguba Region of PDL 1 to the Board of Gas Resources Gigira Limited (GRGL).
