BREAKING NEWS 💥💰The Reserve Bank has cut the Official Cash Rate (OCR) by half a percentage point, dropping it to 1% - An all time low 😮

A 0.25% OCR cut was predicted and already priced into the market, so we should see 1 year fixed mortgage rates around 3.50% in the coming days... 🙏

Great news for mortgage borrowers, not so good for savers!

This afternoon the Reserve Bank have decided to cut the Official Cash Rate (OCR) to 1.50% after being on-hold for over two years. Anticipating this cut, most banks had already priced this into their mortgage rates, but we feel there's lower rates on the horizon.

New changes to KiwiSaver contributions from 1 April could have a big impact on you getting into your first home sooner. You can now choose 6% and 10% for your contributions. Let’s face it, that extra couple of % is unlikely to be missed from your pay, and it could lead to you getting out of the rent trap much quicker

KiwiSaver changes are due to come into force soon, with over-65s able to opt in.
