Hi there , thought I would start using my page more and giving an insight into insurance , being a mum and just life in general 🙂 . Personal insurance something most of us don’t want to spend our hard earned dollars on, I get that defiantly !! Strange how the world works 2 of the most significant insurance cases I have been the adviser for was MYSELF when Bruce ( my husband) broke his neck last year, scary because when you are self employed not working for months and the unknown is pretty frightening sitting in a hospital room. I hate to admit it but I really wasn’t sure what I had put in place and if it would pay the mortgage and monthly expenses or not ! Ridiculous really how something so important can be given not much thought ! For most people we grab some life insurance when the bank approves a mortgage and often that’s as far as we get ! Anyway 2nd case was my brother in law at 40 he had brain aneurysm... fine one day in intensive care in Auckland the next. The impact on their family and farm was huge , we are all busy every day and suddenly, sorry now you are out of action for the foreseeable future . The financial pressures don’t change , they were so relieved when the trauma payout was in their account, now it was just the road to recovery. So everyday I see people who mean to get around to think about it, but life just keeps getting in the way 🙈. As for being a mum is there or is there not rugby training tonight ??? The Crazy weather we are having lately makes it hard to plan ahead and be organised, so being flexible and having a couple of plans seems to be working for me 🙂 .
