Kids in school are learning about money – how much do you know?
Financial education is now compulsory in NZ schools, so kids are (finally!) learning about money. 💰
Here’s a refresher so you can keep up with them 😉:
• Compound interest = Your money earns returns, then THOSE returns earn returns and so on (it's how your KiwiSaver balance can grows) 📈
• Good debt vs. bad debt = Student loan at 0%? ✅ Credit card at 25%. ❎
o Mortgage for house ✅ vs Loan for expensive car❎
• Budgeting = Know what you NEED to spend your money on, so you can plan where the rest of it goes Hot tip – put some away for SAVINGS!💰📈
• Market volatility = Invested funds go up and down when markets are impacted by (often) world events
Check out resources like Booster’s mybudgetpal or Booster Savvy for help with daily money management. The Sorted website has heaps of great information too!💛
