We are deeply saddened by the passing of Steve Hinds, a former Trustee and Director of the Police Credit Union Board.

Steve dedicated over 20 years to serving our members, always driven by what was in their best interests. Steve retired from the Board in 2018 after being appointed as the Citing Commissioner Manager for World Rugby.

Our thoughts are with Steve’s whānau and friends at this difficult time. He will be greatly missed.

Why get a PCU Debit card? 🧐

Well, to start, we have some exciting new features for our cards that we reckon you'll love: https://bit.ly/3xfsmjq.

But there's other reasons members choose to have a card with us:

✅ No fees
Some banks charge an annual fee just for having a Debit card, and most charge a fee to replace your card if you lose it. We don't charge either!

🆘 In case of emergency
Having a spare card to access money if your main bank has a payment system issue can be a lifesaver.

💙Because they love us!
When you call the PCU, you won't get 94 different options to choose from before you speak to someone and are placed on hold for 30 minutes. Our team provides amazing service, and that's one of the benefits of being part of an exclusive membership-owned organisation!

💳 Want to order a card? It's easy! Email us at [email protected], call us at 0800 429 000, or send us a secure message through mobile or internet banking.

Do you have a credit card with a balance that's not going down?
Or a store card that started off with a sweet interest-free period that's over and now you're getting charged a high rate?

⏱ Maybe it’s time to reset your debt with our *1Loan*!

Steps to figure out if it's right for you:

1️⃣ Hunt out the interest rate you’re paying on your current debt and how much you have left to pay.

2️⃣ Pop that into the Sorted debt calculator https://sorted.org.nz/tools/debt-calculator/ to see how long it’ll take to pay off if you keep your repayments the same.

3️⃣ Visit our page at https://bit.ly/3V5nV2B and use the calculator to see if switching your debt to 1Loan could save you money.

⚠️ Payment delays this weekend ⚠️

From 11pm tonight (Saturday) through to 5pm Sunday, payments between ALL banks in NZ will be delayed due to industry-wide systems maintenance.

You’re probably used to making weekend payments after 7-day payment processing went live last year! But, this weekend will be just like the old days:

• Payments from your PCU account to another bank will leave your account immediately, but won’t arrive into the other account until after 5pm Sunday.

• Transfers between PCU accounts are unaffected and will work just like normal.

• Using your card is also unaffected.

If you need to shift some money between banks this weekend, do it as early as you can today!

If you’re 70+ and own a home, you could free up to $100k of the cash in your home with Retire Easy, our reverse mortgage.

🔹 Compared to the two biggest reverse mortgage providers in NZ, Retire Easy has the lowest rate and fees, with a current rate of 8.94% p.a.

🔸 Interest is only charged once a year so you pay less interest over the life of the loan.

Saving for your first home?

We could double your deposit and halve the time it takes for you to get into your first house!

Getting enough together for a house deposit is a huge barrier. Because we're not a Bank, we can do things a bit differently. That's why we launched First Home TOGETHER.

🏠 With First Home TOGETHER, you could get up to 10% interest-free towards your deposit so you and your whānau can step into your first home sooner than you thought.

Find out more on our website about how we could help you or your family members get into your first home, together.
