Taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health, but finding a mental health expert in New Zealand can be a challenge.

Because of this, we launched Mental Health Assist, giving Accuro policyholders quick access to qualified mental health professionals.*

Calls to the Mental Health Assist team are answered by a mental health nurse and followed up with an appointment with a psychologist and/or psychiatrist within 10-14 days. The nurse can also provide support for up to 12 months following the consultation. This service is included in the Specialist add-on plan at no extra cost and is in addition to the mental health benefit.*

It might be the end of but don’t let that stop you from keeping your mental health top of mind.

The Boards of Union Medical Benefits Society Ltd (UniMed) and Accuro Health Insurance Society Ltd (Accuro) have signed a Letter of Intent to transfer the Accuro insurance portfolio to UniMed and combine the resources and capabilities of the two not-for-profit mutual societies.

Update to cyber-incident impacting Accuro

While our systems are still down, we have managed to stand up many of our key services, albeit most of these are now manual. Importantly, claims and pre-approvals are still being processed but we do have delays. We are working as fast as we can to get as many claims as possible paid before Christmas and urgent pre-approvals signed off as we know how important this is.

We have also managed to start transacting premium payments. Rest assured that if we have not taken a recent premium payment, you are still fully covered under your policy. For the most up-to-date information, please see the information page on our website

Cyber incident impacting Accuro

Accuro’s external IT infrastructure provider has been the victim of a cyber-attack that has prevented access to a number of our core systems. Our IT provider is working with their own forensic experts and Government agencies to understand the nature and extent of the impact.

As we understand more about this situation, we will continue to communicate directly with our members and have set up an information page on our website which provides further information about the cyber-attack and where we will post updates - https://www.accuro.co.nz/about/news/temporary-outage/

For the time being, our systems remain offline which will impact services and speed of deliver, so we request your patience as we work towards a solution.
