Feeling incredibly empowered after attending the Evolving Boldly Women’s Speaker Event through the Business Chamber 👏
Hearing Hilary Barry speak was both empowering and refreshingly honest. Some of her hot takes that really stuck with me:
✨ Be yourself
✨ Care less about what others think
✨ Don’t give everyone permission to have an opinion on you
✨ Say no more
✨ And say YES to the things that truly matter
We also heard from four incredible women leaders who shared their journeys—navigating leadership, motherhood and building meaningful careers. Their stories were real, relatable and inspiring.
What really stood out to me across every speaker was the consistent message to be authentically yourself. Not the polished version, not the version you think people expect—but the real you. The one that brings your unique perspective, values and strengths to the table.
Because when you stop trying to fit a mould or seek constant validation, you show up with more confidence, make clearer decisions, and create stronger, more genuine connections. It’s not always the easiest path, but it’s the most powerful one—and ultimately the most sustainable.
That reminder really stuck with me: that backing yourself and owning who you are isn’t just personal growth, it’s leadership.
