****Case Study Incoming****

After appointing O’Connor Warren Insurance Brokers in early 2026, Simon from Perfectly Imperfect - Pizza had his policies reviewed and a gap was identified — he had no Business Interruption cover. Our team recommend an appropriate solution which was added at renewal.

When Simon’s refrigeration unit unexpectedly failed during a busy period, a significant amount of stock was lost. Thankfully, the stock that could be saved was stored in a neighboring business’s freezer, allowing operations to continue. The additional costs incurred for this temporary solution were covered along with the loss of the unsalvageable stock.

Simon was stoked, we were stoked - win, win

✅ A simple review can uncover all sorts - they are important
✅ The right advice is just as important as the purchase itself
🤔 When the unexpected happens, are you prepared

Be like Simon, be prepared.

We can also confirm that Simon's products taste just as good as they look!

O'Connor Warren Insurance Brokers is proud to announce its director Eamon O’Connor has been named New Zealand’s Number One Elite Broker in the 2026 Insurance Business Elite Brokers list, marking the second consecutive year he has achieved the top ranking.

The annual Elite Brokers list recognises the highest-performing insurance brokers across Australia and New Zealand following a rigorous, independently verified assessment conducted by Insurance Business’ Intelligence unit. O’Connor’s back-to-back number one ranking highlights consistent excellence across every measure — a result that reflects not only his strong commercial performance, but also O’Connor Warrens culture of collaboration, trust and client-first thinking.

The 2026 recognition comes during a softening market cycle and a period of broader economic uncertainty. Despite these challenges, O’Connor Warren has continued to achieve growth and expand its client base, underpinned by its highly regarded team.

Eamon attributes the achievement as a direct result of the quality of its people that set them apart from its competitors. “This recognition belongs to our entire team,” said O’Connor. “We’ve worked hard to create a
culture where our people feel supported, challenged and genuinely connected to the outcomes we deliver. Our positive environment translates directly into better advice, stronger relationships and clear results for our clients — especially when market conditions become more complex as they have.”

“Being named New Zealand’s number one Elite Broker for a second year is rewarding, but what I’m most proud of is the consistency of our people and the standards they bring to work every day.” With more than 30 years of industry experience, O’Connor Warren Insurance Brokers is a proudly New Zealand-owned firm providing tailored insurance solutions to a wide range of businesses and individuals nationwide. The brokerage is widely recognised for its specialist expertise, long-term insurer relationships and results that exceed client expectations.

This consecutive national recognition further reinforces O’Connor Warren’s position as a market leader — distinguished not only by multiple awards, but by its team that consistently deliver.

O'Connor Warren Insurance Brokers through our Steadfast Foundation are really chuffed to have been able to provide a $7,500 grant to Life Education Trust Western Bay of Plenty to help deliver the Unplug for Harold Campaign across 52 schools in the WBOP region in term 3.

As part of the campaign, students are challenged to unplug from their devices for a weekend, choosing instead to be active, creative, and spend time with friends and whānau.

The initiative supports young people to build healthy habits, improve their focus and concentration in the classroom, and develop a better balance between screen time and real-world experiences

O'Connor Warren Insurance Brokers sponsors napierathleticsclub 100th Jubilee Meet

The 100th Napier Athletics meet held at Marewa Park was proudly sponsored by O’Connor Warren Insurance Brokers.

The O’Connor Warren senior men’s long jump event was won by Jack Bryan with a jump exceeding six metres, closely followed by Hunter Lyford and Ethan Phillips (pictured).

Former Olympian Diane Rodger (nee Zorn), one-time New Zealand junior triple jump champion Grant Birkinshaw, who in 1969 recorded the fourth-best long jump worldwide for an Under-20 athlete, and runner-turned-livestream commentator Holly Manning all returned to the club for the event which included celebrations with an evening dinner.

O’Connor Warren Insurance Brokers make a point of sponsoring local grassroots sports and clubs throughout New Zealand. Our association with Napier Athletics is particularly pleasing and aligns with our growing profile in the Hawkes Bay Region.

A really good and useful summation by Fee Langstone highlighting the recent High Court appeal dismissal in Maritime New Zealand v Gibson. This was the first time a CEO of a major NZ company was convicted for failing to comply with Statutory duties.

A timely reminder as we move into the colder seasons that walking the talk is a must when reviewing, reporting on and executing changes in line with legislative requirements such as obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
