The "Big Five"
Debra's been on safari and was ecstatic to see the 'big five' and more than once. She is now preparing to start her climb up Mt Kilimanjaro so we probably won't hear from her for a while.

So in the meantime - check out her safari pictures below!

A little African R&R!

Debra has been out and about sightseeing - watching the flamingo's at Lake Natron, seeing the sunrise at the Ngorogoro Crater and finding hidden waterfalls in a gorge on the Great Rift Valley. Check out her photos.

We all know the feeling - desperate for that first coffee of the day! For Debra - it's proving to be not quite 'instant'!

We are preparing the coffee beans by removing the outer shell.
Then I have to carefully roast the beans on the fire.
Success - all the way from green bean to cup.

More photo's from Debra's early days at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro. She is doing two weeks volunteer work at Peace Matunda village before her climb to the summit.

Going for a walk and finishing by the campfire. We found an unexpectedly cool oasis on the outskirts of the dusty town.

Loading the bus, early on the road to Peace Matunda village. Got through the Tanzania border without too much trouble.

Debra's off tomorrow on her adventure to climb My Kilimanjaro! She was in the office today doing last minute bits - and wearing her boots too!! Final stitching in the banner is happening tonight - and Debra will stop off at Hospice House in the morning to say goodbye.

Have a blast Debra - we hope the trip is everything you and your grandmother Agnes have wished for!
