Get your skin checked. We have had to many claims paid out for melanoma, you want to catch them early.

Not all skin cancers are melanoma. Get to know the two most common forms, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. 🔍

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common type of skin cancer, accounting for about 70% of non-melanoma skin cancers. Here are some indications of a BCC:

🟤 Waxy, small raised lesion with a depressed centre
🟤 Ulcer-like appearance
🟤 Tendency to bleed
🟤 Red and scaly, oozing or crusted areas
🟤 Raised borders
🟤 Black-blue or brown areas
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common type of skin cancer, accounting for about 30% of non-melanoma skin cancers. Signs of a SCC include:

🟠 Firm, red nodule
🟠 Flat sore with a scaly crust
🟠 New sore or raised area on an old scar or ulcer
🟠 Rough, scaly patch on lip that may evolve to open sore

Over the years I have met some people who are non believers when it comes to personal insurance. They say, the insurance companies will never pay out, the insurance companies always look for a reason not to pay.

To date claims paid for Beach insurance clients. Medical total $900,000 (plus the claims people have filed direct). Income, Trauma, TPD & Life claims $4.4 million.

Total claims paid to date $5.3 million and counting.

With most medical plans any pre existing conditions will have an exclusion (you can't insure the car after your have crashed it).
Currently one provider is offering cover for pre existing conditions after 3 years (there are some pre existing conditions that do not qualify, heart, cancer, hips, back & knees).

If you suffer from Endometriosis, Varicose Veins, Bunions, Kidney Stones, Uterine Fibroids, Benign Breast Lumps, Cysts or have issues with ear, nose, throat, these would normally be excluded on your medical cover. You will be able to put in place a policy now and have cover after your 3 year stand down.
