Afternoon all,

Stormy wet weather out there today! I've just been at a local market down south with my mothers business Mbees where as a beekeeper she sells honey from her hives and has made these cool candle moulds herself from left over bees wax. There is some really cool designs and these range from $4 to $20, if your interested in any of these candles for home or as a gift let me know and I can let you know the $$.

Awesome to be apart of a group that is so focused on advice and doing the right thing for clients in the insurance industry. It's really reflective in the awards and our NPS year on year. These guys provide amazing tools and support to help us deliver what we do, so if your thinking of starting a brokerage, I would highly recommemd the IANZ network.

It’s been a big week at IANZ. We are super excited to be named Network of the Year at the 2023 ANZIIF Awards, for the second year running.

This win is 100% down to the quality advice and tailored services offered by our 57 broking practices across the country, in what has been an unprecedented year for claims volume. We truly appreciate all they do.

For our part, we’ll continue to strive to make a positive contribution to the industry, back our brokers all the way, support them with the technology and systems they need to do what they do best: give great advice and look after their clients, through the good times and bad.

One of the great things about working at S & C Insurance is we offer our staff the opportunity to do a day in the life of another position in the business to get some exposure and experience. So when we offerred CEO of Snacks and afternoon naps Watson Baker the opportunity to go for a drive and a client visit for some wonderful clients of ours, he jumped at the opportunity.

As you can see following the meeting Watson quickly picked up the art of negotiation and managed to negotiate a site visit to review the fence and the risk exposure of any sheep getting out for the client. The sheep (who had smartly moved on) and the fence risk we're all ok and Watson went back to his core role and enjoyed his afternoon nap on the way home.

Great day out for all.

This time a few weeks back we were getting ready to attend the Selwyn District Council Selwyn Business Awards hosted by Hillary Barry. We had a great night at an awesome venue catered by G & T Catering who did an amazing job on the food and Wine Devine catering and serving the liquid refreshments. Awesome to see two awesome business owners and local businesses doing such a great job!

For us we managed to walk away with a bronze award in the start up business category which was great and overall there was some amazing businesses and volunteers getting awards and recognition for doing some pretty awesome stuff in the region / local communities.

Overall a great night out with our families, friends and staff.

Its been a big year at S n C HQ and for all of those outside our mailing list, we'd just like to take a moment to thank all our clients, referrers and partners we work with in the industry.

About a month ago we were named as a finalist in the Emerging Broker of the year awards for Insurance Advisernet, something were very proud of and highlights the good work we've been doing for our clients.

For now though, we will be finishing up tomorrow the 21st of December and returning the week of 19th of January for a big 2023!

Sam will be monitoring urgent emails over the break and any urgent claims please text him directly.
