With the OCR dropping again on the 27th of November we are sure this will be a welcome relief for homeowners looking to refix and positive news for new home buyers looking to purchase.
Many of the banks are now offering a 2-year fixed rate is 5.49% for Home Loans under 80%.
Most Banks are also paying “cash backs” of up to $20,000 or .9% of the loan amount on refinancing to attract business from other Banks. This would cover your legal costs and put some money in the bank to reduce credit cards, property improvements or a long overdue holiday. As always terms and conditions will apply - you can phone or email us on this with any questions.

The non-bank lenders are also starting to pass on the OCR reductions with a 7.90% floating rate offered by one of our prime non bank lenders up to 80% of the value of your owner occupied home. We are awaiting some moves on the fixed rates as well.
Non Bank lenders provide opportunities for self-employed / contract workers who may struggle to show satisfactory evidence of income to a Bank or may have had some credit issues or late payments following Covid, then the cost of living crisis.
