MARINE INSURANCE – ASSISTANT BROKER
The Marina Shop has been in the marine insurance business for over 20 years and is seeking someone to train as an assistant broker.
The position involves processing both applications for marine insurance and annual renewals, invoicing clients using Xero, monitoring clients’ premium payments and answering client calls.
Hours are between 20 and 25 per week and can be increased after initial training.
The successful applicant will work from home and will require both dedicated office space and high-speed broadband.
Relevant skills include a quick and retentive memory, attention to detail, the ability to work unsupervised, good keyboard skills and credible telephone manner.
Relevant work experience includes administrative/clerical roles in insurance, accounting and/or small business administration. Boating knowledge and experience would be useful. Living in Opua would be helpful.
