Celebrating 60 Years of Uhlenberg Haulage

On Saturday, 11 July, Uhlenberg Haulage celebrated an incredible milestone - 60 years in business.

The celebration featured an impressive display of the company's current North Island fleet and was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on six decades of hard work, innovation and family values.

It was a superbly organised event, with Chris, Darryl and Tony Uhlenberg sharing the family's journey and acknowledging the people who have contributed to the company's success over the years.

At JRI, we are incredibly proud to have been part of the Uhlenberg story. Our relationship extends well beyond that of insurance broker and client - we value the genuine friendship and trust we have built with the Uhlenberg family over many years.

Congratulations to the entire Uhlenberg family on this remarkable achievement. With the third generation, Blair and Brad, now helping lead the business into the future, there is every reason to believe the next chapter will be just as successful. We have no doubt Mike Uhlenberg would be immensely proud.

🌀 Stay Safe – Weather Alert & Easter Hours Update

Dear Valued Clients,

We hope you and your family are keeping safe and well. A low-pressure system is currently moving across the country, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and large swells to many regions.
With this in mind, we want to share a few helpful tips to keep you and your property protected, along with guidance on what to do if you need to make a claim.

⚠️ Weather Event Precautions
To help minimise risk during this weather event, we recommend the following:
• Stay Informed: Monitor updates from MetService New Zealand and NZ Civil Defence
• Secure Loose Items: Bring in or tie down outdoor furniture, trampolines, or anything that could blow away.
• Prepare an Emergency Kit: Include water, non-perishable food, medications, a torch, and essential documents.
• Avoid Floodwaters: Do not drive or walk through floodwaters – it only takes a small amount to be dangerous.
• Have a Plan: Know your evacuation route and where you’ll go if needed.

📝 Need to Make a Claim?
If your property is affected, here's what to do to help ensure a smooth claims process:
• Document the Damage: Take clear photos or videos when it’s safe.
• Gather Supporting Info: Have your policy number, receipts, and any relevant documents ready to support your claim.
• Get in Touch with Your Broker: If you're unsure who your broker is, please call us on 0800 RING JRI or view The Team on our website.
• Claims can be submitted via email to [email protected] or through the Make a Claim section of our website.
