Team Gibbons was back at Lower Queen Street recently with the Te Tauihu Environment Trust and Battle for the Banded Rail, checking in on last year’s 200 native plants, weeding, replacing a few that didn’t make it, and adding another 225 along the Great Taste Trail.

It’s all part of the ongoing work to restore native habitat around the Waimea Estuary, and a good reminder that these projects don’t stop once the plants are in the ground!

Once again, it was a great opportunity for our wider Gibbons team to volunteer together while supporting the local organisations doing the ongoing work to restore and care for these areas.

🚧🤝 It was a pleasure to welcome our neighbours from the Upper Queen team (Gibbons NZ) for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Richmond Mall redevelopment following our monthly catch-up.

Last week we were absolutely humbled to receive the Fundraiser Champions trophy from Nelson Tasman Hospice for our efforts in this year’s Heave for Hospice campaign 🏆

While we’re honoured by the recognition, we know the real champions are the amazing Nelson Tasman Hospice team and volunteers who provide such compassionate care and support to people and families in our community every single day 🙌

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who donated, supported, and cheered us on 💛 Together with businesses, schools, community groups and individuals support, we helped raise an incredible $180,000+ across May! 🎉

We feel very lucky to have played a small part in supporting such an important organisation.

Please join us in welcoming Josh Tansey to the Gibbons team as our new Forestry Operations Manager.

Josh brings extensive forestry experience and will be leading the management of our forestry estate, helping support the long-term productivity and sustainability of our forestry assets.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter, making the most of activities such as mountain biking, fishing, diving, skiing, tramping, and gardening.
