Pay rise, bigger mortgage, went out on your own, quit smoking, had another child?

None of that turns up on your policy on its own. It only turns up if we have a chat about it. The one we hate seeing is someone who’s had something health wise and didn’t claim, because they don’t think they were covered… and they were.

Most policies also let you increase cover for specific special events without medical questions.. ie having a baby, increasing mortgage within a certain time frame.

This is why reviews are important.

When did you actually last look at your KiwiSaver? 🤔

Not the balance, the fund you’re sitting in, what you’re putting in, and whether you’re getting the free bits.

The default rate went up to 3.5% in April. The government adds $260.72 a year but only if you put in $1,042.86 yourself.

Over 340,000 people are still in a default fund that around 9 in 10 of them never actually picked.

It’s a 15-minute job to check.
