Good news for borrowers! The Official Cash Rate (OCR) has just dropped by 0.5%, and smaller cuts are predicted later in the year.
However, we haven’t yet seen this flow through to fixed home loan rates — so DON'T refix yet. Give it a week or so for the market to settle and for banks to adjust their pricing.

not really news but 📉 OCR cut to 3.25% – what it means for you

The Reserve Bank just dropped the Official Cash Rate by 0.25%. Here’s how that could work in your favour:

✅ Lower repayments if you’re on a floating rate or about to refix
✅ Chance to pay off your mortgage faster by keeping repayments the same
✅ A bit more wiggle room in your budget when buying a home or investment property

There might be another cut later this year too – the RBNZ is keeping a close eye on inflation and the economy.
