Introducing the Tiger Cubbettes! Step By Step dance studio's all girl, youth dance team😍
These girls have put so much time and effort into making their routines look amazing and they definitely do. They're positively bursting with energy on the floor and their hard work earned them some impressive wins this weekend against much older and more experienced dancers. We are so proud to see them on the floor, specially with one of our very own EMP team, , coaching them to be the best that they can and more importantly, to have fun!

PPD - Prompt Payment Discount
You may notice on your invoice that you get a discount if you pay for your energy before a certain date? This discount is called a prompt payment discount.

Prompt payment discounts encourage people to pay their invoices on time. If you pay your invoice after the PPD date then you will no longer be eligible for the discount and could potentially miss out on a large saving.

Prompt payment discounts vary in amount. Some are 5%, others are 20%, some people might not get a PPD, it really depends on your provider and the current energy market.

Next time you receive your energy invoice have a look to see whether you have a PPD and always remember to pay on time!

Last week at EMP we had a call from a client reporting that they could smell gas outside their property. Gas leaks are rare, but in the event that you can smell gas it is important to act quickly. Here are a few steps that you should follow:
1. Turn off the gas supply immediately.
2. Call your gas provider in a safe area.
3. If it is safe enough open windows and doors in the house to ventilate the area.

Here are a few things not to do when you can smell gas:
1. Do not light matches or ci******es
2. Refrain from using your cellphone
3. Do not use any electrical appliances, this includes turning on or off light switches

In an emergency call 111 straight away.

Our 2021 Energy Award Winners at Harbour City Dance Championship this weekend!
Accompanied by EMP's very own charismatic CEO and ballroom/latin dance teacher kururangi , these youngsters were awarded a $200 EMP sponsorship each towards their future dancing careers, for the enormous amount of energy and pizazz displayed on the dance floor over a 10-hour-long competition. 🤩

Dance season is back!
EMP are proud sponsors of our local ballroom dance school competitive team - the Stepping Tigerz.
Here we have our newest formation group of youngsters - the Cubettes - owning the floor at last month's comp, thanks to Sherryn Tamblyn Photography for the great snapshot!
On June 12th the whole squad is off to River City dance championships, at which EMP is sponsoring a prize.
Wish our young athletes the best as they prepare for tis big event in the dance calendar.💃⏳

Jade placed 3rd place in the Triple Peaks race in Havelock North last month! Along with enjoying beautiful views of New Zealand's wine country, Jade raced against 79 other passionate runners on the 55km track. All participation fees from the event went in support of the project which aims to sustain our native environment by the purchase and planting of native trees in Te Mata Park, Hawkes Bay.

Update on Jade:
Over the month of January she ran 226km, mostly on local tracks where she can appreciate the beauty of the nature of our home valley. Here is a pic from her recent runs and we look forward to hearing more, especially with the Triple Peaks Challenge coming up at the end of February in Havelock North.

Our first team meeting of the year last Monday. Clearly lots of important things getting done, and with the suddenly growing EMP team we look forward to getting to know each other, starting Friday afternoon with a 'team building' session down at the local café...
