With 43% of all existing mortgage debt in New Zealand either floating or due to refix before the end of the year, now is the perfect time to book a free Mortgage Review.

Cotality's latest Property Pulse report calls this a turning point - and the short-term refixing strategy that served many Kiwis well over the past couple of years may not be the smartest play going forward.

A Mortgage Review with us means we'll look at:
Which term suits your situation right now
Whether splitting your loan gives you a better balance
How much certainty vs. flexibility you actually want

No one-size-fits-all answers - just a straightforward conversation tailored to where you're at.

Book your free Mortgage Review today.

With winter settling in, many homeowners are starting to think about ways to make their homes warmer, healthier, and more energy efficient.

What many people don't realise is that most main banks now offer low-interest "Good Energy" or sustainable home loan top-ups to help fund eligible upgrades. Depending on the lender, these can sometimes be as low as 0-1% interest for a fixed period.

These loans may be able to help with things like:
☀️ Solar panels
🔥 Heat pumps
🏠 Insulation
🪟 Double glazing
💨 Ventilation systems
🔌 EV chargers

For many households, it's a practical way to improve comfort and bring down long-term running costs - without needing separate higher-interest lending.

Lending criteria vary between banks. If home upgrades are on your radar, send me a message and I'll do the legwork to find the right option for you.

🎀 Pink Ribbon Breakfast🎀

I was very lucky to be invited to attend the Pink Ribbon Breakfast hosted by Best Practice Lawyers in Foxton this morning💗

Not usually one to be spotted in pink, it was lovely to see everyone making the effort. Great company, meaningful conversations, and all for an important cause - to raise awareness. There were some fantastic raffles on offer, helping to raise much-needed support 💕 Also a great reminder that we all need to check our "Bo***es" regularly, no matter what age, s*x or genetic history.

Thanks to Trish, Chloe, Alice and the team for such a lovely morning supporting such a great cause.

💗

Wow, look at the progress!

We can all see that things are really starting to take shape but many of us would have no idea about exactly how much progress is being made on the construction of the O2NL - take a look 👀

🏡⏱️Needing a Mortgage WOF?🧐💰

There’s been a bit in the news recently about borrowers refixing their mortgages and feeling the pinch as interest rates start heading up again. I’m definitely hearing the same conversations with clients.

If your fixed rate is coming up in the next wee while, you’re not alone. A lot of Kiwi borrowers are wondering what their next move should be and how to make things feel manageable.

BUT remember, it’s not about picking the perfect rate, it’s about having the right strategy for your situation.

✅ Planning early can give you more options
✅ Small changes to structure can make a big difference
✅ You don’t have to wait until your rate expires to get advice!

If your mortgage is up for renewal in the next 6–12 months, now’s a great time for a no‑pressure check‑in.

📩 Flick me a message if you’d like a chat or email [email protected].

Let’s make a plan that works for you. 👊

A bit of good news for buyers in our patch this week!

New figures out show Manawatu-Whanganui had the highest share of property price reductions in New Zealand for the first quarter of 2026 - around 12% of listings had their asking price adjusted down.

What does that actually mean if you're thinking about buying? In short: sellers are pricing more realistically, there's a bit more room to negotiate, and buyers locally have more choice than they've had in a while.

Whether you're a first home buyer wondering if now's your moment, or an investor looking for your next opportunity, it's a good time to chat about what's possible.
