We are proud to be supporting the Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day Street Appeal by having our wonderful team of volunteers in the community. They are collecting donations to help support the incredible work the Cancer Society does for New Zealanders affected by cancer.
If you would like to make a donation you can do it online at www.daffodilday.org.nz otherwise keep an eye out for the many daffodil day collectors around the city 💛

This prestigious honour recognises outstanding career achievements, dedication to the profession and impactful community leadership. And not only that, he was also awarded his 40 years of membership award.

We're proud to have been part of the community event Teddy's Day Out a couple of weeks ago, sponsoring one the bears in the Teddy Bear Hunt.

Together the event raised more than $12,000 for the Ronald McDonald Family Room, Southland Hospital, an incredible result for an incredible charity.

It was fantastic to see the event so well supported by the community ❤️

We would like to welcome our newest Audit Associate, Umar Usmani, to our team here at BDO Invercargill.

Umar has more than a decade of experience across audit, financial reporting, regulatory oversight and audit quality assurance. As an experienced auditor, Umar is aware of the complexities around the financial reporting framework and aims to demystify the technicalities for both his team and his clients.

Umar and his family made the move from Christchurch to be here with us a couple of months ago and he has said “the team engagement, assistance and support from BDO Invercargill has been phenomenal, especially with the transition to a new city”.

We are excited to have you on board Umar.

We are very excited to be part of Teddy's Day Out at Invercargill Central by sponsoring one of the Teddy bears in the Teddy Bear Hunt.

This amazing community event is raising important funds for the Ronald McDonald Family Room, Southland Hospital and it supports the families who rely on their services when they need it the most. 🩷

Registration is just $5 per teddy, with 100% of the registration fees being donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand.
So don't forget to join the Teddy Bear Hunt at Teddy's Day Out, make a day of it with the family and try and spot our BDO bear 🐻

The Southland Sharks have done it again.

What a win on Wednesday night. After fighting back from a double digit deficit against Tauranga Whai to book their place in the semi-finals is a great reminder of what this team is capable of when it matters most.

At BDO Invercargill, we're proud to support the Sharks - but not just because of what happens on the court.

Teams like the Sharks play an important role in our community. They inspire the next generation of young athletes, provide a pathway for local talent to compete on the national stage, and give Southlanders something to rally behind. They also contribute to our region's profile well beyond Southland.

Community sport doesn't happen by accident. It relies on volunteers, loyal supporters, and local businesses willing to invest back into the communities they operate in. Without that support, organisations like this simply couldn't thrive.

Congratulations to the players, coaches, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes. Best of luck for the semi-finals - we'll be cheering you on all the way.
