A house doesn’t make a home.

It’s the people who fill it with life — the family dinners, the chaos, the laughs, the milestones and all those little moments you’ll remember for years to come.

It’s having a place where your kids can grow up, make memories and feel at home.

And yes… that includes the four-legged members of the family too.

Because when it comes to finding a home, it’s not just about the house. It’s about finding a place that works for the whole family.

Even Rocco.

A common mistake I see first-home buyers make?

Falling in love with houses before finding out what they can actually afford.

You go to open homes.
You find the one.
You start picturing where the couch will go and mentally moving in…

Then you find out it’s outside your budget.

It’s a much better feeling walking into an open home knowing exactly where you stand.

Don’t house hunt with hope. House hunt with a pre-approval.

If you’re thinking about buying your first home and aren’t sure where to start, flick me a message. Let’s get you prepared before you start falling in love with houses!

Girls’ last hockey tournament in Wellington…

Last week was one of those proud parenting moments that makes you stop and think… look how far we’ve come.

Recently, I shared a little about our journey to becoming parents and the conversations we still have about our twins and how our family came to be.

And then suddenly, here we are — celebrating 100 games for school and watching our girls reach another incredible milestone.

It’s funny how life works. In the early days, you’re often so focused on taking the next step that you don’t always stop to look back at just how far you’ve come.

Buying your first home can feel a little like that too. It starts with a conversation, a plan and sometimes a lot of uncertainty about what the future might look like. Then one day, you look around and realise how much life has changed.

Like any game, it’s not always about the win. It’s about the journey — the lessons, the people you meet along the way, the challenges you overcome and the growth that happens in between.

Feeling incredibly proud of our girls!

A slightly windy one from Wellington — hopefully you can hear me!

I’m down here supporting the twins with their hockey, and as you can imagine, when you’re out and about with twins, one of the questions we get asked all the time is… “Do twins run in the family?”

It often opens up conversations around our own journey to becoming parents — and fertility is something that’s incredibly personal and can look very different for everyone.

Something I’ve also been asked is whether fertility treatment, or the costs involved in growing your family this way, can affect your ability to get a mortgage.

The short answer is: every situation is different. And it’s something you don’t have to try and navigate alone.

Having personal experience with this journey myself, I understand that there can be a lot to consider — emotionally, personally and financially.

If fertility treatment is part of your story and you’re wondering how it may fit alongside your home ownership goals, I’m always here for a confidential, understanding chat.
