Payroll Changes from the 1st of April 2026

Adult minimum wages will increase from $23.50 to $23.95 per hour

Training/Starting-out Rate will increase from $18.80 to $19.16 per hour

Kiwi Saver Employer and Employee Contribution will increase from 3% to 3.5%

ACC Earners' Levy will increase from 1.67% to 1.75%

Two-step verification (2SV) in myIR is now compulsory for all users

myIR passkey
Customers logging in to myIR with a passkey are not required to enter a 2SV security code to verify their identity.

Trust this device
Choosing ‘Trust this device’ means you may not need to enter a security code for up to 90 days when you log in to myIR using the same browser on that device. However, clearing your browser cookies will impact this. When the 90 days expire, you will need to enter a 2SV security code the next time you log in.
