🖐️QUICK CHALLENGE: imagine doing everything with one hand for the next six weeks.

Driving, typing, cooking, getting dressed, looking after the kids, or even working out at the gym, could suddenly become much harder.

An accidental injury doesn’t always stop life completely, but it can create extra costs and make everyday tasks more challenging.

Depending on the policy, Accidental Injury or Specific Injury Cover may provide a lump-sum payment for specified injuries such as certain fractures, burns or an injury that results in surgery under general anaesthesia

That payment could provide some financial breathing room while you recover, whether you need help around the house, alternative transport or simply some support with everyday expenses.

So, what would be hardest for you with one arm out of action?

💻 Working

👶 Looking after the family

👀 Who’s keeping an eye on your KiwiSaver?

Your KiwiSaver provider manages your investments, but when was the last time someone checked whether your fund is still aligned with your goals?

KiwiSaver can play an important role at two very different stages of life:

🏠 Buying your first home
If you’re hoping to use your KiwiSaver for a first-home deposit, your timeframe matters. As you get closer to buying, it’s important to understand how much investment risk you’re taking and how a market fall could affect the money you’re preparing to withdraw.

🏖️ Planning for retirement
Do you know how much you may need to retire comfortably, and whether your KiwiSaver is currently on track to help you get there?
Your income, family, plans and priorities can change over time, but your KiwiSaver settings may not change with you.

A KiwiSaver review can help you look at:
➜ Your goal and timeframe
➜ Your fund choice and level of risk
➜ Your contribution rate
➜ Your projected first-home or retirement balance

There isn’t one fund or strategy that suits everyone. The right approach depends on your circumstances, goals, timeframe and comfort with investment ups and downs.

Would you like to know whether your KiwiSaver is still heading in the right direction?

Give Mark or Andrea a call, text or email to arrange a complimentary KiwiSaver review.

🤕 ACC covers accidents, but what if an illness stops you from working?

If you’re self-employed, time away from work can affect both your personal income and your business.

ACC CoverPlus Extra can provide greater certainty following a covered accident by allowing you to choose an agreed level of weekly compensation.

But ACC generally won’t replace your income if you’re unable to work because of illness.

That’s why some business owners combine:
➜ ACC CoverPlus Extra for accidental injury
➜ Loss of Revenue or Income Cover for eligible illness, and potentially additional accident protection
➜ Business Expenses Cover to help meet eligible fixed business costs while they recover

It’s not about doubling up. It’s about understanding the gaps and arranging each type of cover to make sure it fits your needs; including ACC cover amount, waiting periods, benefit periods and any payment offsets.

Want to know how your current cover could respond if you couldn’t work tomorrow?

Give Mark or Andrea a call, text or email for a no-obligation chat about what could work for you.

The best time to think about Insurance? BEFORE YOU NEED IT!

Many people don't realise that taking out insurance while you're younger and healthy may help reduce the long-term cost of your cover.

Some insurance policies also offer the option of level premiums. Rather than premiums increasing significantly with age, level premiums are designed to keep your premiums more stable over time, making it easier for many people to budget for the future.

Whether you're buying your first home, starting a family, or simply planning ahead, now is a great time to explore your options and understand what's available.

📞 Give Mark a call on 027 227 4389 or Andrea on 027 221 1442 for a friendly, no-obligation chat.

**Level premiums aren't available on every policy and aren't suitable for everyone.
We'll help you decide what's right for your individual circumstances.
