I think social media can make it look like everyone is constantly thriving, productive, motivated and “doing it all” effortlessly… meanwhile so many mums are quietly just trying to get through the day functioning on broken sleep, overstimulation and something to give them a tiny bit of energy 🫠

And honestly? I’ve been in one of those seasons lately too.

A season where balance feels impossible, routines are out the window and I’m learning to give myself a little more grace instead of expecting myself to operate like I’m fully rested with zero responsibilities. (This has been harder than you think)

But I also think these seasons teach us so much.

Because sometimes consistency doesn’t look like huge wins, perfect routines or being “on” all the time.

Sometimes consistency is just continuing to show up.
Even when you’re tired.
Even when life feels chaotic.
Even when all you can give is 20%.

Motherhood and business both move in seasons and I think we need to normalize that more 🤍

You’re not failing because you’re in a survival chapter. Sometimes surviving IS the growth season.

You’re not feeding your baby wrong…
you’re just expecting them to eat like an adult.

Babies don’t start with eating — they start with exploring.
Touching, squishing, smelling, dropping… it’s all part of learning what food is before they’re ready to consume it.

The “mess” isn’t a problem.
It’s the process.

The more we rush it, the more we disrupt what actually builds confident eaters 🤍

One thing I’ll never do as a mum… interrupt my baby when she’s deeply in her own world 🤍

It might look like “nothing” from the outside…
but in those quiet moments, everything is happening.

She’s learning how to focus.
How to problem-solve.
How to trust her own ideas.
How to be okay in her own company.

As mums, it’s so natural to want to jump in.. to entertain, to teach, to help.
But constant interruption can actually pull them out of something really valuable: independent exploration.

Babies don’t need us to fill every second.
They need space to discover.

When we step back, we’re not being less attentive…
we’re showing trust in how capable they already are.

And the more they get these moments?
The more confident, creative, and resilient they become. (That’s a hell yeah from me)

So if you see me sitting back while she plays…
just know, I’m doing it very intentionally.
