🚴‍♂️🏅Supporting Tomorrow's Cycling Champions 🚴‍♂️🏅

Each year, Plus Finance + Investments, in conjunction with the Grassroots Velodrome team, awards Rider Assistance Scholarships to help support young cyclists and encourage them to pursue their passion for this great sport.
One of last year's recipients used their scholarship towards coaching and bike-related costs. Combined with the rider's passion, perseverance, and the support of their parents and the Grassroots Velodrome team, it has culminated in an incredible year of success.

At the recent North Island Schools Track Championships, this young rider won every event they entered to take the overall Omnium title for under 13, and was part of the winning team sprint and team pursuit teams, while also setting a new New Zealand record in the Standing 250m event.

It's incredibly rewarding to see young athletes achieving such outstanding results through hard work, dedication and the support of those around them.

A huge congratulations to Pippa, and to everyone who has supported her throughout her journey.
We look forward to awarding this year's scholarships and supporting more young riders as they pursue their own passion for cycling.

Grassroots Trust Velodrome

What an incredible day at the Plus Battle of the Schools event at the Velodrome on Sunday.

It was fantastic to see 185 riders from 25 schools across the Waikato take to the track, many of them novice riders with little or no previous experience. After just six weeks of training, the courage, determination, and sportsmanship on display was truly inspiring.

There were plenty of smiles, great energy throughout the day, and lots of well-earned medals handed out to deserving riders.

As proud sponsors, we're delighted to support events that help young people build confidence, develop new skills, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

A huge thank you to the Grassroots Velodrome team for delivering such a well-run event, and a special shout-out to the incredible volunteers who made it all possible.

It has been fantastic to see C Grade riders stepping up into B Grade, and just as great to see the depth in A Grade.

That’s exactly what Friday Night Racing is all about, learning from others, challenging yourself, and progressing in a safe, relaxed environment.

Thanks to everyone who’s been part of it so far. We’re loving the atmosphere, the racing, and seeing riders back themselves and take the next step.
