The countdown is on! The Gisborne A&P Show kicks off this Weekend! 🐎

Emerre & Hathaway are proud to be back as Silver Sponsors and sponsors of the Hunter Jumping Competition event this year. Our flags will be flying! 🚩

It's just over 10 weeks till Christmas....yip we said it and we have set an exciting goal for a community Christmas book drop.

From this week we want to see 300 Chopper and Frank books being donated throughout Wairoa, Gisborne and the East Coast in time for Christmas and the wonderful team at Emerre & Hathaway Insurance Brokers have helped to kick it off with a bang!!

Thank you to Andrew, Darryn and your team for sponsoring 50 books and having your company logo printed in the back. Your generosity will be long-lasting and treasured by the little hands that receive one of your books this Christmas. You have also helped to raise more funds for our life-saving rescue helicopter service.

🎪 Proud to Support the 2026 Great Kiwi Circus! 🎪

Our team were delighted to support the Great Kiwi Circus, recently held at the War Memorial Theatre in Gisborne.

The Great Kiwi Circus is a fun-filled, 90-minute live show featuring talented circus performers, bringing laughter, excitement and a little magic to children and families. The event is specially designed for children with special needs, disadvantaged children and those experiencing hardship, giving them and their families the opportunity to enjoy a memorable day out.

The Great Kiwi Circus also supports the Brain Injured Children Trust, which helps children affected by brain injuries and their families through financial assistance, therapy support and specialist equipment.

We're proud to play a small part in bringing smiles to local children while supporting such a worthwhile cause.

🏌️‍♂️ WHAT A FINISH TO THE POVERTY BAY OPEN 🏆

A fantastic couple of days of golf and a brilliant way to wrap up the Men’s Poverty Bay Open!

Glenn Solomann has done it again! Claiming the Keiha Cup and the title of Poverty Bay Open Men’s Champion for the second year running. Glenn’s winning speech included a warm and heartfelt shout-out to the team behind the tournament. Back-to-back titles see him join an elite group of players to have successfully defended the Keiha Cup. Congratulations Glenn and Team Solomann! 👏

Brent Colbert took out the Second Division, paying a special tribute to Hayden Keast as he accepted the trophy and his prize from Emerre & Hathaway’s Stuart Harbottle.

And how about this for accuracy! Tony Akroyd won the BDO / Emerre & Hathaway $500 Closest to the Pin Challenge, landing his shot just 62cm from the pin from 100 metres out! Mean effort! 🔥

A huge congratulations to all the winners and competitors, and a special shout-out to the volunteers and organisers who put in the work behind the scenes to make the Poverty Bay Open such a fantastic event.

🚁💗 WHAT A NIGHT FOR TAIRĀWHITI! 💗🚁

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in last Friday’s Bayleys 2026 Eastland Helicopter Rescue Trust 19th Annual Charity Auction, which raised an incredible $143,111 for Tairāwhiti’s Rescue Helicopter.

Emerre & Hathaway were proud to support this amazing event by donating the “Join Robbie Williams on his BRITPOP World Tour” experience to the live auction.

The package sold for an impressive $3,300, with Sam Charteris taking out the winning bid. Congratulations Sam, we hope you have an unforgettable time! 🎤🔥

With around 350 guests coming together on the night, it was another fantastic example of the generosity and community spirit we are so lucky to have here in Tairāwhiti. Congratulations again to the Eastland Helicopter Rescue Trust, the organisers, sponsors, donors, bidders and everyone who played a part in such a successful night.

🏌️‍♂️ The Men’s Open is underway

Following a fantastic Ladies Open earlier this week, the action continues at Awapuni Links with the Emerre & Hathaway Poverty Bay Golf Club Men’s Open 2026.

We’re proud to be sponsoring the event again this year, with members of the Emerre & Hathaway team also taking part out on the course. ⛳️

Round 1 of Match Play gets underway Friday morning, with players heading off from both the 1st and 10th tees from 7am.
