We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced Automotive Technician for our fast-paced Dunedin workshop.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
· Diagnosis and rectification of vehicle faults.
· Provision of vehicle preventative maintenance services.
· The fabrication of parts where required or the ordering of parts from preferred suppliers.
· Installation of the replacement parts and reassembly of vehicle to the required standards.
· Management of time in an efficient manner to ensure it is spent working on customer vehicles and with minimal un-chargeable time.
· Ensure activities comply with Acts and Regulations together with adherence to franchise policies, procedures and values.
Technical
· Practical knowledge of motor vehicles and parts for removal and reassembly.
· Strong ability of fault finding and diagnosis.
· Able to identify solutions to remedy faults.
· Parts fabrication and welding skills.
Personal Attributes
· Good communication skills.
· A team player.
· Ability to work autonomously & be self-motivated.
· Creative, resourceful, and meticulous.
Qualifications
· A relevant technical qualification in automotive engineering is desired but not essential
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an automotive retail repair environment
· WOF authority would be advantageous but not essential.
WOF Authority and Diagnostic Experience preferred.
