There’s something special about watching someone turn hard seasons into something that helps other people escape into a good story. I’ve known Becky Fox for a few years now through Women in Business events, as a friend, and now as her very proud number one fan of romantasy dragon novels (I said what I said ok, I make no apologies for this phase of my personality). Honestly, before her book you couldn’t have paid me to read fantasy, I haven’t even watched Lord of the Rings (very un-kiwi of me). But Becky Fox has fully converted me. That’s how good her writing is.

Becky started writing during her recovery from long-COVID, when creating anything else just wasn’t possible. What began as necessity slowly became something much bigger. After grief and loss added their weight, she found comfort in fantasy romance- dragons, escape-worthy worlds, slow-burn stories. And from there, she started building her own. Immersive, layered, and easy to get lost in.

🏖 As the days get warmer, the temptation to spend like we’re living our best coastal main-character life gets real. The BBQ invites, the road trips, the “just a little treat” purchases, they add up faster than sunscreen runs out at the beach.

💸 I’m all for fun, joy, and making summer memories… but not at the cost of waking up in January like, “Why is my bank account crying?” Your money goals still matter, even in jandals.
