Hi there, I’ve just been helping a client with ESTATE PLANNING, not the easiest of conversations or thoughts . We have arranged a level ( premiums don’t increase with age ) amount of life cover until age 100. At 100 lol if you live that long the cover continues but the premium stops!! Perfect when siblings need paying out of businesses or farms when Parents pass away. We would be happy to discuss further with anyone interested in this idea 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there.

As a mother, and grandmother, I feel incredibly proud to work with my daughter, who is not only an amazing business partner but also a wonderful mum herself.
Watching her balance motherhood and work, reminds me just how strong and capable women truly are. It is truly inspiring.
Today, we celebrate the generations of love, resilience, and wisdom shared between mothers and daughters. Wishing you all an amazing day ❤

My first thought was, I hope you are covered.

It was a glorious Saturday, just back from a family wedding in Raro, I was feeling refreshed and excited to be heading down to support our local club. It had rained all week here, and pretty much the last few weeks- but luckily the sun was out and I would describe it as mild, while others would say it was cold or hot as the crowd was dressed in a mix of summer and winter wear.

It was a great game, the score went our way and the boys were scoring some fantastic tries out there, but the one thing that stood out for me more was the injuries. I don’t know what it was about that game, but it all seemed to happen.

A suspected punctured lung…
A dislocated shoulder…
A suspected broken arm…
Along with the general bumps, bruises and niggles a contact sport delivers.

I don’t know whether or not it is my Mum-Instincts kicking in when I see someone go down, my heart always goes out to them. Seeing someone doing what they love and getting hurt from doing it is a hard watch.
I know the guys are aware injury happens, I don’t think you could name any athlete who has never been injured, I am sure even a chess master sprains a wrist from time to time.

It is still hard to see.

I know a lot of these boys personally , some I have grown up with, others I have known for years while supporting the club. They are tradesmen, husbands, fathers, and when I see a bad injury and find out they might be out of action for a few weeks, I worry.

I worry about their families, their businesses
These are good people, and I would never wish hardship on any of them.

All I can think about is I hope they are covered!

In the end, it does take an event like this for some people to have a look at what their options are and hopefully for others it could be me writing this post that gets people thinking about what their situation would be - should an injury happen to them.

Injury happens, and your focus should be on recovery and resting up, not financial stresses, life is much better when you know you are covered.

Technology! Isn't it great -
This week we had a little play around with it and asked Chatgpt about insurance and this is what they had to say about the Top 5 factors

1️⃣. Rising Premiums Due to Economic and Climate Factors
Life insurance premiums have increased in 2025, influenced by factors such as inflation, higher mortality rates linked to climate change, and stricter regulatory requirements. Insurers are adjusting pricing models to account for increased health risks and economic volatility, leading to higher costs for policyholders.

2️⃣. Delays in Claim Processing
Timely payout of life insurance claims is crucial for beneficiaries. However, regulatory bodies have urged life insurers to expedite their bereavement claim processes after discovering that major providers take up to four months to settle claims. Delays have been attributed to rigorous claim checks for higher sums and challenges with recruiting experienced staff amid labor market shifts.

3️⃣. Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Concerns
As life insurers increasingly rely on digital platforms, concerns about data breaches and cyberattacks have grown. The insurance industry is leading advancements in cybersecurity to protect sensitive customer information, but the evolving threat landscape requires ongoing vigilance.

4️⃣. Regulatory Changes and Compliance Challenges
The life insurance industry faces increased regulatory scrutiny in 2025, with new rules focusing on solvency, data management, and climate risk resilience. Insurers must adapt to these changes to maintain compliance and protect policyholders.

5️⃣. Ethical Use of Genetic Information
The ethical considerations surrounding the use of genetic information in underwriting have come to the forefront. In Australia, for example, life insurance companies are now banned from discriminating based on genetic testing results, encouraging more individuals to undergo potentially life-saving early testing without fear of insurance repercussions.

…Insurance is just a hassle.

This is something we hear a lot, and a barrier we want to help break down by opening up our process so we can show you that there is no pain, no hassle when it comes to insurance.
Over the next few weeks we will be working with a client and they will be sharing their thoughts on our process.

Today we asked them to give us a little write up about their insurance thoughts and feelings before we take them on board, and this is what Client X had to say:

“I have always had insurance, I know I need it, but beyond that I don’t think I ever put much thought into it. The first company I went with, I can’t even tell you how I ended up picking them. But I do remember talking to one other company and felt they were not really interested and so went with someone else.

I don’t even know how many companies are out there!

When I got my house, I went with the bank. I think that was mostly because of the time limit I felt pressured under to get everything sorted asap, especially when I was a first home buyer I did not have much in the way of guidance in the respect of what to do next, my offer was accepted and had two weeks to sort it all out.

So, from my point of view It made sense to go with the bank, It felt easier.

All in one place, and you always have that impression that things are better off being all together, I don’t wanna say it feels cheaper, maybe less hassle is the word I am looking for here.

I just wanted to have it and not really think about it, I know its there for emergencies and that is all I am really concerned about, having it all covered should my house burn down or whatever.

I had life insurance through a previous employer, back when companies were still doing pension and medical as part of their packages, and I was just covered there. Again, probably did not know what it entitled me too, I know I would get a voucher if I made no claims for the year, and that was it.

I don’t wanna say it felt too hard, because that makes me feel a little lazy and in all fairness perhaps I was, I could have explored more, but at the same time, I just wanted it taken care of you know.

I am a little apprehensive about the process ahead, but I will see it out and give my honest thoughts on the process.”

A big thanks to Client X for their honest thoughts on insurance
