Church Corner Toy Library Church Corner Toy Library (CCTL) The Church Corner Toy Library is a non-profit charity organisation run by members. Bonus.

We provide a variety of good quality, safe, educational toys for children (Aged 0 to 8) in our community, which will enhance their social, physical, cultural and emotional development. We are a member of the Toy Library Federation of New Zealand (TLFNZ).Session Times:Thursday 7pm-8.30pm andSaturday 9.30am-12 middayMembership CostsThere are 3 types of annual memberships available:Duty/Volunteer Mem

bership. $45 and members volunteer 4x times a year in the library to check in returned toys. Also helping at either a stocktake or fundraiser. As a thanks for volunteering you'll earn a $5 credit on your account each time you help out to spend on toy hire. Non-duty membership $120 Casual membership $30 and $30 bond. Please ask the library coordinator in store about this option. This membership suits grandparents or families visiting the area that might not need a year long membership.To join come in to the library with proof of address and cash (we have eftpos) and we will get you to fill in a form and you can start borrowing toys right away!Toy's are hired out at either 50c, $1, $2 and $3 per toy per fortnight. Come on in and see what we're all about.

Thank you so much to the RATA Foundation for inviting our little library to the Annual Canterbury Grants Function on the 19th of August at the town hall. Big thanks to Olga (my amazing committee chairperson) for coming along and keeping me company. It was a great night with really impactful speeches and yummy food. Thank you RATA for your continued support. Here is just a reminder as to how they have helped us: In May this year they were kind enough to grant us $3,000 that went towards wages. Because of this grant, and others we were able to keep the library doors open. Our small thanks will never be enough to show how large our appreciation is. ✨ They support so many charities and they always do it with such respect and care. This is a new member of The Church Corner Toy Library. He came from the Christchurch South Library 🐧🩷It is with huge THANKS to The Christchurch City Council, especially Marie Bryne and also The Halswell Menzshed who repaired him as good as new, and Tim from Menzshed, who kindly delivered penguin to his new home.

We are in the process of choosing a name for him. I have taken a photo of some of the suggestions so far. If people could please email me any ideas, that would be grand. The family whose name is picked for our penguin gentlemen will receive a $5 toy hire credit on their library account.

Come into the library and give him a proper welcome with a pat on his head, but please do not let your child climb him, he is still very fragile and we don't want him getting injured.

:) Yay, finally I was able to add the photos. These are from the two days that The UC Student Volunteer Army helped with the stock take. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They got so much work done. We all had fun and I love that a lot of them enjoyed playing with the toys. I honestly can't express how much it meant to me for all of them to come in and help. It saved me days of work. Right, I seem to still be having trouble with the library laptop as now I can't load photos on here, technology is not my friend. I have been trying to add the photos onto my posts for days, but no luck yet. I am hoping to be able to share all the photos from the stock take this week, once I can sort this blasted thing out. Sorry for the delay :) (Avona - help, please) (Avona: our amazing committee IT guru, he's the one who posts all the incredible AI posts on our page).
