Hi All
I have been humbled by the amazing response from everyone with your thoughtful, heartfelt comments and generosity with your donations to the Blood Cancer cause.
So far, we have raised around $3,800 for this charity and every cent is appreciated as will go towards future research that I have benefited from and now want to pay it forward.
Gina and her daughters will be doing the walk tomorrow afternoon around Hagley Park holding a lantern in support of me and my journey through this illness.
As you have all commented, I feel I am on the road to recovery now, hopefully just a few more weeks in hospital before I get to stay at home to rest and recuperate.

Some of you will know of the journey I have been going through over the last 6 months. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and lymphoma. Unfortunately the biopsy I had caused a brain bleed and left me paralysed on the left side. I have been learning to walk and talk again while spending 6 weeks in Burwood Hospital. I have undergone extensive chemo and last week a stem cell transplant. Just in hospital at the moment going through the toughest of chemo sickness but we are nearly at the end of this nightmare. The care I have received throughout this time has been absolutely incredible and I would really appreciate any small donations towards this wonderful cause ‘Shine For A Cure’ organised by Leukaemia & Blood Cancer NZ.
