It was a privilege for the CDF to sponsor the St Bede's College Old Boys' Association annual Golf Tournament. We were delighted to have Bishop Michael Gielen join Fr Monty Bamford of Cathedral Parish, Terry Foote, CDF Deputy Chair, and Gavin Abraham of the NZ Bishops' Conference at Waitikiri Golf Course. In true Bedean tradition, there was an excellent turnout and support for the event. As Gavin said, “It was a fine day of camaraderie. A highlight of the afternoon was the opportunity to play a hole with up-and-coming junior player Cooper Moore, a Year 12 student at Bede’s and one of New Zealand’s premier amateur golfers.” Congratulations to Bishop Michael for reclaiming the Fr Blake Rose Bowl, aka Clergy Cup (previously held by Fr Monty Bamford and Fr John Adams).
