✨ Matariki asks three things of us:

1. Remember what came before
2. Be honest about where we stand, and
3. Think carefully about what we're planting.

The stars are still rising. Ngā mihi o Matariki. ✨

Great timing Orah, the next company in our portfolio that we're shining a light on, is visiting our Auckland office this week.

Founded in Auckland by Paul Organ and Kurt Meyer, they started out pitching a former housemaster with a PDF and today their software runs attendance, dismissals and an emergency response for more than 500 independent schools worldwide.

Check out the carousel for more information on Orah, with their link in the comments.

We're going to start sharing more about the companies in our portfolio. There's a lot that doesn't make it into the formal updates, and the stories behind the numbers are worth telling. So, a weekly spotlight, beginning this week.

First up is Couchdrop. A small but mighty, capital efficient team based in Christchurch solving a real problem at scale. Exactly what PFL looks for. Couchdrop stepped into the gap within the enterprise file transfer market, creating something that customers can genuinely rely on.

Check them out and see for yourself - link in the comments.

Earlier this month a group of Year 13 students from Te Anau were hosted by our team Angela & Rebecca on a trip up to our Auckland @2040 Ventures HQ ahead of the Electrify Conference that they attended.

There's something good about having the next generation of NZ talent be the ones holding the banner.

We hope Electrify was everything you came for. Thanks for having us there with you.
