Ensurity

Ensurity Ensurity's aim is to help make your insurance decisions easier and give you and your family peace of mind. What sort of adviser am I? How I am remunerated?

It is important that you read this document
This information will help you to choose a financial adviser that best suits your needs. It will also provide some useful information about the financial adviser that you choose. I am a registered, but not authorised, financial adviser. I have been working as an Insurance Advisor since 2008 and I hold a license granted by the Financial Markets Authority

(FMA) which allows me to give you advice about personal insurances. I can provide advice, as well as transactional services, relating mainly to life, disability, business protection and medical insurance. I can provide advice and recommendations with consideration of most of New Zealand’s top personal insurance product providers. I have agencies with AIA (NZ) Ltd, Partner’s Life, Cigna, Asteron, Fidelity Life and NIB. I am paid on a commission basis from the companies for which products I provide advice and recommendations on. The commission ranges from 1.5 – 2 times your annual premium. This is paid up front and on the basis that your policy remains in force for a minimum of 2 years. If you decide to cancel within this timeframe I am required to repay the commission in proportion. However, there is no charge for the advice I offer and no fee if you decide not to proceed. There is no direct cost to you and no term contracts or penalties for cancellation involved. This can give rise to concern around a conflict of interest but I can assure you I do not accept further incentives or gifts from the companies involved and this allows me to strictly base my advice on what is best for you, the client! The advice I offer and the integrity of that advice is regulated by the FMA and must at all times
• Meet the standards of competence, knowledge, and skill set out in the code of conduct; and
• Give priority to the client’s interests; and
• Exercise care, diligence, and skill; and
• Meet the standards of ethical behaviour, conduct, and client care set out in the code of conduct. What should you do if something goes wrong? You may contact our internal disputes service by telephoning 0273995253 by email: [email protected], or in writing to 36 Third View Ave, Beachlands, Auckland 2018. FUNERAL PLANS -
Did you get advice when setting up your funeral plan. There are some great looking policies out there with cheap premiums but with catches like no end date to premiums. Other policies while they may be more expensive can provide a certainty of cover after a set period of premiums. Ie. pay your premiums for 10 years max and your cover is guaranteed. or continue paying premiums for as long as you live. If you take cover out in your early 50s and live into your 80s.... well you can do the math.
