This week's episode is a really special one because we have the wisdom of a founder who started in 1999, as well as the inspiration of where his company is still yet to go.

I learned so much from Greig Brebner from BLUNT Umbrellas mbrellas. Mindset was such an important part of his journey, and thhis really resonated with me.

I am stoked to share his story with you.

“Where to from here?”

Listen to this stunning montage including soundbites from Kate Berry from Huffer, Rebecca Percasky from Better Packaging Co., Sasha Lockley from Money Sweetspot , Jo Cummins from Girls Get Off, Leighton Roberts from Sharesies, Will Barker from Mint Innovations and Layla Kaisi from Layla Kaisi Collection.

This is the WHOLE reason I wanted to do this series of and have conversations deep diving with kiwi entrepreneurs. Even though they come from completely different industries, you can hear similarities to mindest, goal setting, and vision.

This montage video starkly demonstrates the boldness of those breaking through to new levels of success and I am SO excited to share this with you.

I have been building a couple of montage videos from the 10 episodes we have done so far in this Series 2, so keep an eye out for the different montages with comments on the same question I will be putting out from time to time.

Big, hairy, audacious, goals in a nutshell from some of NZ's most dynamic brands.

I encourage you to take that boldness, and then apply it to your own enterprise. Everyone benefits when you do well, and we are here cheering you on.

Jo Cummins and I spent some time reflecting on everything Girls Get Off has achieved over the past 2-3 years.

Founded by two entrepreneurial women who are working to normalise womens wellness, and building a 7 figure company at the same time, what they have achieved is super inspiring.

Thanks for sitting with me, Jo. This is the first podcast I've done that comes with an adult themes warning!

HUFFER. 26 years old, and as iconic and innovative as ever.

I spent the morning with Kate Berry, MD of Huffer, a while back to hear about the journey from starting with a range of 7 snow wear pieces in 1997, to now selling 50,000 jackets with the aim of having a jacket in every home in New Zealand.

Huffer's story of innovation and an unrelenting sense of self left me inspired far beyond the time I spent in their offices, and that's kind of the point of . I am aiming to share these stories for the purpose of inspiring you to aim higher, and together we can all find out our true potential. This one will really make you want to figure out what yours is.

Sharesies facilitates $20M-25M worth of investment transactions each week.

For a Kiwi startup, that's pretty epic.

So, for this episode, I sat with Co-Founder and 3EO Leighton Roberts to learn the background of how the company was started, and how the leadership team took the company from its roots to where it is today.

I found Leighton's story super unexpected, and full of collaboration, and love for his team.

Have a listen and let us know what you think.

Typically you may not connect politics and entrepreneurship, but David has led his party from polling 0.5% in 2017 to 12.7% in 2023, and there's something we can all learn from that.

The production of Series 2 of SpinachTV is well under way, with 4 episodes already under our belts.

Jordan Greville and I attended the HUFFER HQ on Friday morning, where we sat with Kate Berry to learn about Huffer's story. I came away feeling really excited about the possibilities of enterprise in New Zealand.

In this series, I am talking to entrepreneurial people from all sorts of industries who are getting astounding results, over and above their peers.

Yes, I am a business loan broker, but inadvertently I also become a business adviser, because over the course of several weeks working together I get a rich understanding of your business, and often pick up on opportunities to do better. Equally, I see gaps in acumen and also in mindset.

That’s where the idea for SpinachTV was born.

The philosophy behind SpinachTV is this:

- Series 1: The Expert Series
This series was designed to empower you to make smarter decisions about the foundation of your business.

- Series 2: The Entrepreneur Series, or Interesting People Doing Interesting Things
Once you’ve got the basics right from the lessons in Series 1, I want to see you reflect on your business and then aim higher. This series unpacks the mindset and approach of those who are exceeding the norms, with the aim of learning from them so we may apply those lessons to our own enterprises and to then strive even further ourselves.

My values in business are : excellence, aspiration, and action.

I hope to provide the tools for those three values with the content that SpinachTV presents.

If we collectively do business smarter, and then aim higher with our goals, that can only be a good thing for enterprise in New Zealand.

So, keep an eye out for the new releases coming after the wrap party.

SpinachTV can be found on the main podcast platforms.
