Before they come to us for financial coaching, couples often fear that they’ll be judged for their expenses, or be told what to do. If one person generally spends more, they’re worried they’ll be treated like the problem.

That’s not the case. Instead, we help you look deeper into your finances, identity for yourself what is important (or ‘non-negotiable’) and what you’ve been frittering away that doesn’t add value to your life.

We find that most of our clients, like Gail and Ruben, leave our offices with a sense of freedom. Through understanding the granular details of their finances, they know exactly how much they can spend, and how much they’ll be projected to save. It means the person who generally spends more can comfortably spend without going overboard, and the person who generally spends less will feel the confidence to spend within budget, knowing it won’t knock them off track.

Alexandra Hall has more than 10 years of experience working within the financial services industry. She brings the benefit of that knowledge, along with her empathetic and patient manner, to her work at enable.me as an insurance adviser.

She chose to specialise as an insurance adviser when a family member received a scary health diagnosis, which highlighted to Alexandra the importance of having insurance and being able to access that support in times of stress.

Passionate about explaining financial concepts in a relatable way, Alexandra is an open-minded adviser with the goal of making sure her clients take well-informed actions that are best suited to their situation. Her favourite client feedback? When they thank her for making insurance – an often-misunderstood product – transparent and easy to understand.

Outside of her working life, Alexandra can be found on a walk or hitting the beach, on an adventure with her sausage dog Giuseppe, or spending time with family and friends.

One of the biggest factors that can change your trajectory is to take control of your spending. Know what’s coming in, what’s going out, and make sure your spending is going towards things that make your life better, rather than being frittered away for no added benefit.

Being more selective with your spending can bring up some tough conversations – especially if your relationships are built on activities that cost money. Going out each week, an extra cocktail at the bar, weekend trips away. If you’re looking to maximise your money, you might be looking to change some of these habits.

Have people around you who understand what you want to achieve and are there to support you every step of the way. Because being around people who are motivating and supportive, and aiming for their own goals, helps you feel confident to reach for yours, too.

We love helping our clients feel in control of their finances and optimistic about their financial future.

Property has long been one of the go-to wealth strategies for New Zealanders. But in a market that feels less predictable, people are asking the question: is property still the right move for me?
For some, it’s about whether to finally make a start. For others, it’s about whether an existing property strategy is still doing the job it was meant to do.

Join enable.me National Coaching Lead Katie Wesney on Wednesday, 27 May at 7:30 p.m. for 'Is Property Still Your Best Wealth Move?', an evening webinar where she explores how to think about property in the context of your wider wealth plan, and how to strategically assess your next move.

Registration link: https://go.enable.me/l/1055303/2026-04-28/36mqm?source=organic%20social

In this session, Katie will cover:

- How to think about property as part of a broader wealth strategy
- What needs to be in place before property investing makes sense
- The financial and lifestyle factors that can shape your next move
- How to assess whether to start, hold, review, or pivot your strategy

Whether you’ve been circling property investing for years or you’re already holding property and questioning what comes next, this session will help you think more strategically about your options.

If you can’t join us live, register anyway and we’ll send you the recording the next day.
