As we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week, run by our AIA Vitality Charity Partner the Mental Health Foundation Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, this year's theme of “Belonging Matters” is a great reminder of the important role connection plays in supporting our mental wellbeing.

Connection is one of the 6 pillars of wellbeing, a scientific framework developed by clinical experts and psychologists at our AIA Vitality Partner, Groov Groov, to help us stay resilient.

Whether it's connecting with a friend, getting outside for a walk, learning something new or taking a moment to celebrate a small win, these simple actions can have a positive impact on your mental wellbeing.

This week, AIA Vitality Members can hit their AIA Vitality Active Rewards target, donate their reward to Trees That Count, and AIA Vitality will match it - turning a $5 donation into $10 to plant more native trees across Aotearoa New Zealand.

While a single $5 donation may seem small, collective donations together can help restore native forests, improve waterways, support biodiversity, and create lasting benefits for future generations.

⚽ Football brings people together, and our AIA x Spurs sponsorship in Auckland was a perfect example of that.

From inspiring tamariki alongside the Tottenham Hotspur Global Development Coaches with our AIA Healthiest Schools visits, to an unforgettable AIA Kids Coaching Clinic with a surprise visit from Spurs players, it was a week packed with memorable moments. The excitement finished off with an action-packed match against Auckland FC, bringing fans together to celebrate the game we love.

A huge thank you to Tottenham Hotspur FC, Spurs Development Coaches, Auckland FC, and the fans who helped make Spurs Week so special.

We're proud to look back on the memories and impact created together. 🤍💙

That’s a wrap! 9 weeks ago, Bianca and Jay took on the couch to 5k challenge - to go from zero to hero by comfortably running 5km at the North Shore Marathon, mentored by AlA Vitality ambassador and All Black legend, lan Jones. Each week they followed a plan, they pushed themselves a little further, built confidence and resilience, increased their fitness and changed their mindset.

And on Sunday they crossed the finish line - proof that with the right support and finding your why, small steps can lead to big results.

Congrats team, you did it!

Stay tuned for lan’s Couch to 5k review, advice & learnings - coming up on the AlA Vitality content hub and social media next week.
