Many people think they need years of savings before they can buy their first home.

In reality, your deposit could come from:
✅ KiwiSaver
✅ Savings
✅ Selling assets e.g. car, boats, shares
✅ A gift from family which is not returnable and non interest bearing

What generally won't count?
❌ Borrowed money such as personal loans, credit cards or Buy Now Pay Later.

Every lender has different policies, so it's worth getting advice before assuming you can't buy.
