NZMII is a New Zealand owned and operated insurance company providing medical malpractice and liability cover to its members since 1999. NZMII provides guaranteed insurance cover, expert medico-legal advice, and wel

ling support to health practitioners alongside fast online applications and renewals. NZMII currently insures over 4,000 health practitioners, have assisted in over 4,500 claims and have paid over $4.2 million resolving claims. We are here to help in what can be stressful circumstances. We currently offer four types of policies for registered medical and health professionals who hold a New Zealand practising certificate and are practising in New Zealand:
• Resident Medical Officers (RMO) Policy
• Senior Medical Officers (SMO) Policy including vocationally registered GPs
• Health Professionals Policy including HPCAA registered practitioners (excluding nurses and midwives)

• Actual Solvency Capital NZ$4,915,746
• Minimum Solvency Capital Requirement NZ$3,000,000

Financial Strength Rating
New Zealand Medical Indemnity Insurance has been issued a Financial Strength Rating of B+ (Good) and an Issuer’s Credit Rating of bbb- (Good), with the outlook on both ratings assigned to ‘Stable’. These ratings were issued by A.M. Best on 2 May 2024.

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Kiwi men, with 1 in 8 men developing it in their lifetime.

Encourage the men in your life to stay on top of their health and talk to their doctor about prostate checks, particularly as they get older or if they have a family history of prostate cancer.
