An excellent conversation at the Trans - Tasman Business Circle's THRIVE - Women in Leadership Series. Three wāhine toa spoke about their careers, women in investment, traversing stewardship, strategy and the future of capital.

💪 Jo Townsend, CEO of NZ Super Fund talked about stewardship at scale and the task of maximising returns while considering the impact The Fund makes on systems, markets, institutions and the environment.

💪 It was heartening to hear Lisa Connor from JBWere New Zealand observe a trend of more women leading family conversations about wealth and decision making, and choosing their own support network of accountants and lawyers.

💪 Zoie Regan, CFA Senior Investment Analyst at Fisher Funds spoke about the importance of taking advice from the experts, making sure you're getting compounding interest on your pot of gold and the importance of taking (informed!) risks when you have time on your side.

New KiwiSaver changes that encourage younger people to build good investing habits early.

As of 1 April, 16- and 17-year-olds who are working and enrolled with KiwiSaver can receive employer contributions at the new 3.5% rate if they’re also contributing 3.5% to a KiwiSaver scheme through their pay.

Congratulations to Dame Lynley Dodd, winner of the 2026 Fisher Funds Te Pou Tūroa o Aotearoa, New Zealand Legacy Award at the Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Awards.
