If you’ve been told “not yet” or think you don’t qualify, it might be worth a second opinion.

Not every first home buyer fits the “standard” box, and that’s okay.

• Didn’t meet Kāinga Ora First Home Loan criteria

Banks are racing to lower their short-term rates — but its slow and steady.
With the OCR announcement just around the corner, some banks have started dropping their shorter-term fixed rates early to get ahead of the game.
BNZ has cut their 6-month fixed rate down to 5.05% with Kiwibank hot on its heels, and most of the big players are all neck and neck in the 1-year and 18-month rates at $4.76% to 4.79%. BNZ are also the winner with their 2-year rate. *all rates are subject to the banks lending conditions.
If you’re thinking about fixing your loan soon, this could be a good chance to lock in a better rate but check with me to make sure you are getting offered the best rates.
