Your business account is not your wallet.
We don’t need to see your takeaway receipts.
Or your gym membership.
Or anything that belongs in your personal life.
What you do outside your business is entirely up to you.
But when personal spending runs through your business account, it creates problems.
It’s not claimable.
There’s no GST to claim.
And it takes time (and your money) to sort out when we’re doing your accounts.
More importantly, it distorts your numbers.
Your profit and loss stops reflecting what’s really going on — and that’s when the surprises creep in.
Keeping your business and personal finances separate is one of the simplest ways to stay in control.
So here’s the rule:
Your business account is for business. Full stop.
