Heavy flooding from the China side has raised concerns over hydropower infrastructure in Rasuwa and Nuwakot, where 9 operational hydropower projects with a combined capacity of around 359 MW and 5 under-construction projects totaling 394 MW are located. In Rasuwa, Rasuwagadhi (111 MW), Sanjen Khola (78 MW), Mailung Khola (5 MW), Langtang Khola (20 MW), and Chilime (22 MW) are operational, while Upper Trishuli-1 (216 MW), Rasuwa-Bhotekoshi (120 MW), and Upper Mailung-A (6.42 MW) are under construction. In Nuwakot, Trishuli (24 MW), Devighat (14.1 MW), and Upper Trishuli-3A (60 MW) are operational, while Upper Trishuli-3B (37 MW) and Middle Trishuli Ganga (15.6 MW) are under construction. The flooding has raised concerns about potential damage to projects and related infrastructure, with the extent of the impact still being assessed.
