Margin Trading (नेपालीमा: मार्जिन ट्रेडिङ) भनेको शेयर बजारमा आफूसँग भएको कम पूँजी (रकम) को प्रयोग गरी ब्रोकरबाट ऋण (उधारो) लिएर धेरै शेयर किन्ने सुबिधा हो। सरल भाषामा भन्नुपर्दा, यो ब्रोकरमार्फत पाइने "शेयर कर्जा" वा "उधारो कारोबार" हो।नेपाल स्टक एक्सचेन्ज (NEPSE) र नेपाल धितोपत्र बोर्ड (SEBON) को नियम अनुसार यो कसरी काम गर्छ, यसका मुख्य पक्षहरू निम्न बमोजिम छन्:मार्जिन ट्रेडिङका मुख्य नियम र प्रक्रिया (How it Works)प्रारम्भिक मार्जिन (Initial Margin): यदि तपाईं रु. १,००,००० को शेयर किन्न चाहनुहुन्छ भने, सुरुमा तपाईंले पूरै रकम तिर्नुपर्दैन। SEBON को नियम अनुसार ३०% रकम (रु. ३०,०००) तपाईंले हाल्नुपर्छ र बाँकी ७०% (रु. ७०,०००) ब्रोकरले ऋणको रूपमा उपलब्ध गराउँछ।धितो (Collateral): तपाईंले किनेको शेयर वा तपाईंको डिम्याट खातामा भएको मौजुदा शेयर नै यस लोनको धितोको रूपमा रहन्छ।ब्याज (Interest): ब्रोकरले ऋण दिएको रकममा दैनिक वा मासिक रूपमा निश्चित प्रतिशत ब्याज र सेवा शुल्क असुल गर्दछ।मेन्टेनेन्स मार्जिन र मार्जिन कल (Maintenance Margin & Margin Call): बजार घटेर तपाईंको शेयरको मूल्य तोकिएको सीमा (जस्तै: २०%) भन्दा तल झरेमा ब्रोकरले तपाईंलाई Margin Call जारी गर्छ। यस्तो अवस्थामा तपाईंले थप रकम वा शेयर जम्मा गर्नुपर्ने हुन्छ। यदि रकम जम्मा नगरेमा ब्रोकरले तपाईंको शेयर आफैं बेचेर आफ्नो ऋण असुल गर्न सक्छ।
