is one of the pioneering institutions in Nepalese Co-operative Movement to follow the real norms of Co-operative, established in 2066 B.S. and is currently running in the thirteen Year. Following norms and regulations set by the Nepalese Co-operative Act-2048 B.S., Co-operative Rules-2049 B.S. and Values and Norms set by International Co-operative Alliance (ICA), Managing Committee acts as a Chief
Executive Committee and other legal Committees act according to their duties and responsibilities respectively. The most obvious advantages concern income and job opportunities, enabling social standing and promoting collective benefit of all its members. Shantipur Co-operative tries its best to materialize above concern into reality by collecting small and unnoticeable amount of individual members as saving and provide loan for them who start their own business or enterprises. Common citizenry have no easy access in banks and other financial institutions. At this juncture, Shantipur Co-operative is the great answer to solve the challenges and difficulties of their practical life. With these sacred objectives, Shantipur Co-operative was established in B.S.2066 being legally registered in concerned authority i.e. Division Co-operative Office Kathmandu with its registration number 2928. It was established under the provisions set by Co-operative Act-2048 B.S. and Co-operative Rules 2049 B.S. Kathmandu Metropolitan City ward numbers 9, 10, 32, 34, 35 are the extent or range of judicial territory over which activities of this institution are being exercised. Objectives:
i. To enhance, disseminate and expand the knowledge that Co-operative is a mutual co-operation for economic prosperity and to held high the social dignity and status of members. ii. Emphasis on the creation of ideologies to approve the significance of self-dependence, mutual help, co-operation among members, becoming economical to enhance regular saving habit. iii. To increase economic prosperity and establish developed society by channelizing individuals' small, idle and insignificant amount of money into income and skill-oriented jobs. iv. To inspire its members to take part themselves in skill-oriented trainings, workshops, seminars etc. to grab job opportunities. v. To maintain cordial relation and good coordination with different governmental, non-governmental and with so many social organizations for accomplishing social welfare activities such as collecting fund and humanitarian cooperation to those who are being suffered from natural disasters or calamities. vi. To follow principles, values and norms of Co-operative and to run actively being self-disciplined, transparent and responsible institution. vii.
