Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) is opening the issue of 1:1 ratio right shares to its shareholders from today.

11,00,00,000 units right shares will be issued from 5th Shrawan. The offering will conclude on 25th Shrawan, 2078.

The hydropower company declared the book closure date for its rights offering on Jestha 28. Thus, investors maintained before that day are eligible to apply for the shares.

Short-term traders with a holding period of less than a year (365 days) will now be taxed 7.5% on capital gains. The Finance Minister's budget speech for the fiscal year 2078/79 increased the tax rate on capital gains by 50% for individual investors with a holding period of fewer than 365 days.

few thing you need to know about MACD

Moving average convergence divergence (MACD) is calculated by subtracting the 26-period exponential moving average (EMA) from the 12-period EMA.

MACD triggers technical signals when it crosses above (to buy) or below (to sell) its signal line.

The speed of crossovers is also taken as a signal of a market is overbought or oversold.

MACD helps investors understand whether the bullish or bearish movement in the price is strengthening or weakening.

The Securities Board of Nepal has made a new provision allowing stocks to be traded in decimal values. This will enable stocks to be traded at decimal stock prices, in contrast to the currently maintained minimum trading tick of Rs. 1.

Stocks can now be traded at 10 paisa higher or lower than the last traded price (LTP). As of now, Rs. 1 was the minimum trading tick for a stock to trade at another price. The regulator has stated that this provision will be implemented in accordance with international practice, and will permit a better reflection of investor sentiment and competitive bidding ecosystem.

United Insurance has entered into a one billion club by collecting an insurance premium of Rs 1 arba by the end of the fiscal year 2077-78.

The non-life insurance company received a historical feat under the able leadership of its chairman Mr. Ravi Bhakta Shrestha, CEO Ms. Upasana Poudel with support from its dedicated employees, as per the media statement.

The company had raised Rs 69 crore as insurance premium during the review period last year, as per the media statement.
