· What was your first impression of Norselab?
- A highly-competent team that gave me a very warm welcome. From the first day, I felt part of the team and was given a lot of responsibility. It feels good to be part of a team that tries to do good.

· Why did you decide to join Norselab in the first place?
- I have always had a keen interest in the investment world. Joining an impact investor and learning how they unite returns with impact has been eye-opening. Sharing that message with other investors day in and day out is now my job! It’s simply energizing.

· What do you like the most about your job?
- It’s fun to be part of a fast-paced environment. I like connecting with people and getting them excited about Norselab’s approach to impact investing. Getting to know investors and welcoming them into our offices for a meeting with the broader team makes the job worthwhile.

· What to expect in the future?
- If you’re an investor interested in impact, you can expect a phone call from me 😉. For Norselab, I cannot wait to see how our funds and their companies will create large-scale impact and make a true difference in the challenges we face.

Meet Christian Holm Nilsen, who is heading our upcoming Structured Equity fund👋

Christian brings over 15 years of experience from the fixed-income space. He is working hard to launch our first impact-focused Structured Equity fund.

The fund will offer a founder-friendly financing alternative that gives impact companies access to growth capital without giving up control, and provide investors with opportunities to take out the growth potential in nordic impact venture.

· What was your first impression of Norselab?
- Super talented colleagues with diverse backgrounds. At Norselab, everyone shares the same “go-getter mentality” and passion for impact investing.

· Why did you decide to join Norselab in the first place?
- I had the unique opportunity to draw on previous experiences to be part of building a new and exciting product.

· What do you like the most about your job?
-It is exciting to be part of a company at the forefront of impact investing. Expanding the financial toolbox for founders, while offering exceptional risk/reward to investors, is incredibly fulfilling.

· What to expect in the future?

It's time to wrap up the year and look back at some of the highlights that marked 2022. 🎄💫

🌱 We welcomed US impact investment heavyweight Capricorn Investment Group as a strategic partner in January, taking a 20% stake in Norselab. We are humbled to have a partner who shares our belief that impact investments will offer the best opportunities for both solid returns and large-scale impact.

🌱 We more than doubled our team, welcoming 16 new faces upping our impact game.

🌱 We launched two new fund initiatives (with more underway!): Meaningful Equity II, our second venture fund, and Meaningful Impact High Yield, the first high-yield fund in the Nordics dedicated to impact and classified as an Article 9, or «dark green» fund under the .

Thanks to everyone who has followed and contributed in 2022 to our journey toward a meaningful future for all.

👏 Congratulations to our Chief Impact Officer, Maria Grimstad de Perlinghi, for winning “Personality of the Year” at Environmental Finance's Impact Awards 2022.

The jury recognizes Maria for defining an innovative impact philosophy that brings our world towards net positive. In 2022, Maria has spearheaded the enhancement of the integration of impact into the investment process. As a member of Norselab's Product Governance Committee, she ensures that all investments made by Norselab’s funds are in line with the Meaningfulness frameworks.

“In 2022, de Perlinghi led the integration of impact in Norselab's investment process by creating 'the Meaningfulness Memo'. It contains the investor's impact assessment results and narrated insights, with a view to improving transparency. Using the approach, she helped Norselab launch its first actively managed high yield fund: the Meaningful Impact High Yield fund.”

We’re proud to bring impact to the credit space with the first Article 9 High Yield fund in the Nordics.

Congratulations to our credit team Tom Hestnes, Ole Stokstad, Line Tollefsen, and Shatthik Barua on the launch and the first trade.

Also a massive thanks to our impact team, Maria de Perlinghi, Kenza Akallal and Åsne Burgess Øyehaug who worked tirelessly to build a new standard for impact in high yield.

💥Introducing Norselab Meaningful Impact High Yield - the first actively managed impact-focused credit fund in the Nordics🌱

Earlier this year we broke the news that we’re teaming up with Tom Hestnes to launch a series of credit funds. The new fund is set to launch on November 30, and supports our goal of proving that is the future of investing across asset classes.

By pooling professional and institutional investors with a long-term investment horizon together, the fund seeks to invest in companies with a clear positive contribution to sustainability while also generating superior financial returns.

- We’re stoked to have raised NOK 500m for the first close in such a volatile environment. It demonstrates investor confidence in our approach, Tom Hestnes shares with Dagens Næringsliv

The target is to reach NOK 2bn in AUM by the end of 2023.
