Metalchemy is a nanotechnology start-up commercializing its patented solutions to reduce the impacts of climate change. One of their first applications is the development of biodegradable packaging infused with silver nanoparticles aimed to increase food & drink shelf life bringing the food waste pandemic to an end.

We are delighted to announce that Katapult Africa portfolio company, Elucid ( ), a Berlin-based sustainability tech firm, has successfully closed its most recent funding round!

Elucid's solution provides healthcare coverage for farmers while simultaneously providing access to reliable data for impact and sustainability. It is presently implemented in Ghana, Madagascar, Ecuador and Venezuela, with the aim to extend the offering to over 500,000 people by 2025!

The innovative company was co-founded by Dr Julius Emmrich and Dr Samuel Knauss. Cheers to a brighter, more sustainable future with Elucid!

The future is... inspiring! Friday brought a close to this year's Katapult Future Fest and we had a blast!

From exploring the utopian (and dystopian) future of AI to impact tech in Africa to smart cities to the latest ocean innovations, Katapult Future Fest is the place to take a step back and assess the trends, challenges and opportunities that lie on our collective horizon.

But Future Fest is also more than just a top-tier program. It is about people. Few events assemble such a diverse change-makers, impact investors, tech experts and startups (including several Katapult Portfolio Companies), all assembled with the common goal of making the world a better place! It is in this nexus where the ability to challenge, collaborate and change truly lies.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and a special shout-out to the Katapult Future Fest team for a KFF to remember! We're already looking forward to KFF24!
