Stations wishing to participate in a single band category, but who also made some QSO's on other bands are required to send in all their QSO's in a single logfile. Make sure that the Cabrillo header reflects the correct single band category.
Stations in category D are limited by the "10 minute" rule. A run station must stay at least 10 minutes on a band before changing bands. The starting time will be determined by the first QSO made on that particular band. The use of a multiplier-station however is allowed, but only to work multipliers on a different band.
High Power more than 100 Watts output.
Low Power maximum 100 Watts output.
QRP SSB maximum 10 Watts output, CW maximum 5 Watts output.

4 - Bands
Bands to be used: 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters. The IARU band plan and the IARU Contest prefered frequencies.
WARNING: Failure to comply with the bandplan may result in disqualification
5 - Contest call and exchange
CW "TEST UBA" - SSB "CQ UBA".
Exchange:
Stations on Belgian territory: RS(T) + serial number starting with 001 + the abbreviation of the UBA section (e.g. 59001 ACC). The section is an integral part of the report and must be mentioned in the log. Stations which are not members of the UBA use ###. National UBA stations (ON4UBA, ON4DIG and ON4YLC) use UBA as their section.
Stations with QTH outside of Belgium: RS(T) + serial number starting from 001.
6 - Scoring
Stations with QTH in Belgium
A QSO with a Belgian station 1 point,
A QSO with a station in one of the DXCC countries of the European Union at the time of the contest 2 points.
All other QSO's 3 points.
Stations with QTH outside Belgium
A QSO with a Belgian station 10 points,
A QSO with a station in one of the DXCC countries of the European Union at the time of the contest 3 points.
All other QSO's 1 point.
An additional bonus will be given to stations outside Belgium depending on the percentage of QSO s with Belgium on your total valid QSO's. Example: 50 QSO's with Belgium (500 QSO points) on a total of 320 QSO's means 15.6 % of QSO's with Belgium and will give you (15,6 % of 500 Belgian QSO points) an extra of 78 QSO points on your total QSO points. This calculation will be done after the log checking.
7 - Multipliers
Stations with QTH in Belgium
All DXCC countries once on each band.
Stations with QTH outside Belgium
Once on each band.
All UBA sections. ### used by non-UBA members does NOT count as a multiplier.
All Belgian prefixes such as ON(x), OOn, OPn, OQn, ORn, OSn, OTn (x1-9)(n 0-9)
The DXCC countries of the European Union at the time of the contest: 5B, 9A, 9H, CT, CT3, CU, DL, EA, EA6, EA8, EI, ES, F, FG, FM, FR, FY, HA, I, IS, LX, LY, LZ, OE, OH, OH0, OJ0, OK, OM, OZ, PA, S5, SM, SP, SV, SV5, SV9, SV/A, TK, YL and YO.
Remark: A QSO with a Belgian station can give you 2 multipliers (UBA section and prefix). Multipliers count once on each band.
8 - Final Score
Total QSO points (from all bands) times the total number of multiplier points (from all bands).
9 - Special Conditions
The use of DX-Cluster facilities is permitted. It is recommended that you use the DX-Cluster system in a decent way. This means to point out DX stations, new multipliers and propagation in challenging bands. It is not recommended to spot your favourite ON or other stations with the purpose of generating advantages for these stations. This kind of "friendly spotting" will only result in a bad reputation for yourself and for the spotted station.
Remote stations need to combine RX and TX facilities in one station. Remote listening facilities are not allowed more than 500m away from the transmitting site
10 - Logs
All logs must be submitted in CABRILLO format. No paper logs are accepted anymore! A Cabrillo webapplication is available on the website of WA7BNM.
The logs must be sent no later than one week after the contest. The final submission deadline is February 8, 2026, 23:59 UTC for SSB and March 8, 2026, 23:59 UTC for CW.
If you have any questions regarding the contest, please contact the contest manager at [email protected].
Pictures may be send to the contestmanager at [email protected].
The confirmation of receipt you receive does not mean that your log is valid; it only means it has been received. If we encounter any problems with your log, we will contact you.
The received logs will be published on the UBA website. A link will be provided in the confirmation of receipt. Publishing is a manual process, so please be patient and do not resend your log immediately unless you have made corrections. The last log received will be taken into account.
Logs where the category is not clear will be placed in the highest category, which is MULTIOPERATOR. Incomplete logs will be used as "Check logs".
You must upload your log via this link: https://contestupload.uba.be/
