The government is considering a proposal to ban electric scooters on sidewalks. According to a recent survey, half of respondents support such a ban.
In a survey conducted by YouGov on behalf of the insurance company Tryg Forsikring and the organization Trygg Trafikk, 52% of Norwegians answered that they want a ban on the use of electric scooters on sidewalks.
The government has tightened the rules for electric scooter use and, among other things, introduced an age limit. The proposed sidewalk ban is up for consideration and is part of a package of new rules.

Railway employees are angry at the government, which is accused of pursuing right-wing policies. Therefore, all train services in Eastern Norway will stop between 11 AM and 1 PM on Tuesday.
“The government is running from its promises in the Hurdal platform. Instead of consolidating the railway, the right-wing railway policy is continued – with even more fragmentation. Now it’s Eastern Norway’s turn,” the Norwegian Railway Association wrote in a press release.😀
